Book Review – The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa

I may have found the cutest, funniest, and pretty steamy fake dating romance novel of the summer. BookTok did not disappoint in their recommendation yet again! It was a quick read, which was lovely especially if you are away on holiday or wanting a break from the hefty fantasy novels that leave you in a book slump. From the plot to the characters, this book made me laugh out loud, squeal, and put the book down flushed at the romance happening before me. The part I most enjoyed I would say is definitely the diversity in cultures and experiences that were woven throughout the entire book giving it a realness…

Book Review – Belladonna by Adalyn Grace

    May 5, 2023 / No Comments

I want to apologize in advance if this review seems all over the place and incoherent at times… it’s just this book right here is one that has made my list for top books I thoroughly enjoyed this year thurs far. The chokehold this book had on me was unreal. I could not put it down but when I did, it was because I was too overwhelmed with blushing or gasping or accusing the different characters of murder! It had intrigue and most importantly, it had an immortal shadow being that was handsome and mysterious and oh-so-witty. Reading this was like the world had disappeared and I was encased in…

Book Review – The Luminaires by Susan Dennard

    April 28, 2023 / No Comments

It has taken me a while to write this book review, but not for a lack of trying! I have been a huge fan of Susan Dennard for a long while and after reading this book I just wanted to tell everyone about it! I was so obsessed that I started to look up what other people were saying – just to find more readers to gush about it with – and found that the story came when Susan was in a bit of a dark head space dealing with a lot of personal issues. This alone made me love of her more, as if it was possible, and I…

Book I Want to Read in February 2023

    February 2, 2023 / No Comments

Happy February! 💕 I don’t know if it’s the fact that I decided not to put any pressure on myself this year when it came to the things I love like reading and blogging OR if it’s the fact that it has been blistering cold that all I want to do is be cozy inside with a book… OR even if it’s the fact that there are just too many good reads out these days, but whatever the reason, I have been reading every single day without fail and I am loving it! While January was looong and fairly bleak, the whole month felt anything but because of the reading…

Book Review – As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh

    January 19, 2023 / No Comments

I don’t even know where to begin with this one… Despite me finishing the book months ago, I genuinely needed all this time to process the weight of this book and how much I freakin’ loved it. Beyond being able to relate to bits of it (coming from immigrant parents who fled a war, faith, and language)… I was still in absolute awe at how Zoulfa, the author, managed to really grasp the terrors of war beyond the physical, to the mental and spiritual as well. It left me haunted every single time I put the book down to catch my breath. I had several moments when the tears wouldn’t…
