One Year of Blogging & A Giveaway (Part 1)

I am well aware that I have taken, basically, the entire month of November off. This was not intentional.

I have a lot to fill you in on, so much life/writing updates, some new bookish bits I have been loving, new books I have devoured, and some beauty products I can’t get enough of. A whole slew of posts will be coming your way throughout the month, but for now, I just want to take this post to be really emosh and frankly stare at this screen in awe because….

It’s been one year since I launched this blog!!!!!! (Woooohoooooo)

And what a freaking year it was! I mean out of all of them, I guess in a way I am truly glad I started this, last year around this time, because it seems like past me somehow knew how much I would need this.

I have met some incredible people through blogging, discovered some wonderful blogs that have lifted me up in times when I’m just looking for a bit of an escape, and had the best time coming up with content and writing up posts on all the things I enjoy.

Truly, and really, from the bottom of my heart, thanks to those who read. Who even click on it because they’re slightly curious. Who comment and continuously fan-girl with me over books and characters that have shaped us in more ways than we can imagine. Without this blog, and those reading it, liking it, championing it… I wouldn’t have come close to knowing how much I enjoy this or connecting with others!

So in a way to show my appreciation, I am hosting a giveaway of this book right here!!!

In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren

An amazing friend of mine recently bought it for me, and we decided to form a book club and make this the first book we read! Well, halfway through, I am already loving it!

Here’s the Synopsis:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.

But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world—the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families. Mentally melting down as she drives away from the cabin for the final time, Mae throws out what she thinks is a simple plea to the universe: Please. Show me what will make me happy.

The next thing she knows, tires screech and metal collides, everything goes black. But when Mae gasps awake…she’s on an airplane bound for Utah, where she begins the same holiday all over again. With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.

The Rules of the Giveaway:

  1. Need to be following this blog (I really want to give back to those who have been with me since the beginning, or close to)
  2. Following my insta: @realmofbookishbeauty
  3. Comment on this post: what book you are currently reading?!

*International Giveaway – if I can mail it to you, you can enter!*

A winner will be picked next Monday, December 14th!

I’m beyond grateful and appreciative of everyone who is following the blog and reading this! You have made me want to keep going when times have been tough, make me want to put out the best content, and work extra hard on my manuscript so that I can share some tips and tricks and ultimately motiviation for anyone else out there struggling with self-doubt when it comes to their passions.

As mentioned in this title… this giveaway is part 1!! There will be a second half!!

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you! It has been… a year… to say the least but it wouldn’t have been slightly more bearable without anyone and everyone who contributed to this blog, whether it be a comment, like, or a even one single read on only one post!

See you very soon

xx

Happy one-year blogiversary! That’s so exciting and such a great accomplishment! In a Holidaze is on my TBR – it sounds so good! Glad you’re enjoying it. I’m currently reading and enjoying The Little Swiss Ski Chalet by Julie Caplin. 🙂

Congratulations on one year of blogging! 2020 may have been a strange one but reading has been a light for many, and we appreciate you putting your love of it into words for us all to read and enjoy! I’ve got two on the go myself, hopefully, I remember my thoughts enough to comment on them when I’m done; The Only Black Girls in Town by Brandy Colbert and You Say It First by Katie Cotugno.

    Cheers from Toronto!
