Introducing Fiction Addiction – Bookish Blogger Book Club

Happy New Year!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and has welcomed 2022 with a positive attitude as honestly it could not be any worse than the last two years we’ve experienced.

My annual New Year’s post will be up soon but for now I have an amazing, most exciting post today!

I cannot begin to explain how happy I am right now typing this out!

We have started a bookish bloggers book club!

And it’s called…. Fiction Addiction! Ahhhhhhh!

Myself and some of the kindest, sweetest bloggers have come together to read a book a month and gush and post about it.  As we love to read fiction novels, enjoy bonding with other readers, and love to expand our reading choices, we have created this amazing book club.

The kindest, sweetest book bloggers in the book club (that can be found on Instagram) are:

Ana from @thesustainablereader

Nicole from @comicallycaffeinated

Anna from @annasbooknook

They are truly so lovely and I cannot wait for the year to come alongside them. Please go follow them and keep an eye out every month as we will be posting about our thoughts on the book of the month and introduce the next book of the month.

The book for January is:

Echoes and Empires by Morgan Rhodes!

Here is a quick synopsis of it:

Josslyn Drake knows only three things about magic: it’s rare, illegal, and always deadly. So when she’s caught up in a robbery gone wrong at the Queen’s Gala and infected by a dangerous piece of magic—one that allows her to step into the memories of an infamously evil warlock—she finds herself living her worst nightmare. Joss needs the magic removed before it corrupts her soul and kills her. But in Ironport, the cost of doing magic is death, and seeking help might mean scheduling her own execution. There’s nobody she can trust.

Nobody, that is, except wanted criminal Jericho Nox, who offers her a deal: his help extracting the magic in exchange for the magic itself. And though she’s not thrilled to be working with a thief, especially one as infuriating (and infuriatingly handsome) as Jericho, Joss is desperate enough to accept.

But Jericho is nothing like Joss expects. The closer she grows with Jericho and the more she sees of the world outside her pampered life in the city, the more Joss begins to question the beliefs she’s always taken for granted—beliefs about right and wrong, about power and magic, and even about herself.

In an empire built on lies, the truth may be her greatest weapon.

Look at how pretty that cover is! I have read Morgan Rhodes’ previous series ‘Fallen Kingdom’ and I liked it a lot. Hoping this one is just as good or even better.

Ahhhhh! Literally too excited for words!

Before I gush anymore, go follow all the book club members so you’re up to date on all our posts and to read alongside us each book of the month!

Let us know if you’re reading this book in January as well or if it’s on your TBR at all?

xx
